SNOG ( EBM BAND )

Resultado de imagem para snog ebm

Snog is a band that was formed by Australian musician David Thrussell, along with fellow art school friends Tim McGrath and Julia Bourke in 1989. The band's music is a fusion of many different styles, including industrial, techno, ambient, experimental, funk and country music. The band name is a reference to "kissing and cuddling," and Thrussell has stated that the name symbolizes the Marxist concept of destroying barriers between people. Thrussell also records as Black Lung, which started as a brand to release extra Snog recordings.

History

Snog's first album Lies Inc. was released in 1992 and Pieter Bourke, who has since worked with Dead Can Dance and Lisa Gerrard, joined the band soon afterwards. The second album Dear Valued Customer, which drew heavily on techno influences, was then released in 1994. Also in 1994, the side projects Soma (Thrussell and Pieter Bourke) and Black Lung.
By 1997, the band was primarily a solo project for Thrussell, who collaborated with guest musicians on recordings. The next album release was Buy Me... I'll Change Your Life and country western-style guitar was featured, as well as a cover version of Lee Hazlewood's "Let the Little Flowers Grow". Third Mall from the Sun followed in 1999 and the album blended the styles of the previous two albums, in addition to new influences. Thrussell described the progression of Snog's musical styles in a 1998 interview with Sonic Boom Magazine: "In the past Snog has written a lot of dance floor material and while it has been successful, I kind of felt that I needed to write something different. I intentionally try and do something new with every Snog release. I do not want to get caught up in the musical trap of remaking the same album over and over".

Third Mall from the Sun was followed by the remix album Relax into the Abyss. In 2003, the album Beyond the Valley of the Proles was released and its follow-up Snog vs. the Faecal Juggernaut of Mass Culture was released three years later.
Snog continued to release music into the 21st century and the EP Everything Is Under Control (consists of remixes and the additional song "The Lament of the Lost Sheep") was released on iTunes on 25 March 2013. The EP was followed by the 23 April 2013 album release Babes In Consumerland and both recordings are part of a contract with the Metropolis record label.
A music video for Everything Is Under Control was published on the Internet on 19 March 2013. On 20 March 2013 Snog also released a 12" vinyl record with French record label M-Tronic entitled "The Plug-In Drug"; produced as blue-coloured vinyl and limited to 300 copies, the record features three songs from Babes In Consumerland, in addition to remixes and unreleased songs.
A music video for "Adolph's Library", from Babes in Consumerland, was published on the Internet in June 2013. The video was directed by Richard Wolstencroft, filmmaker and founder/director of the Melbourne Underground Film Festival (MUFF) and was filmed on location at the State Library Of Victoria in Melbourne, Australia.
The press release that accompanied the release of Babes in Consumerland stated that Snog has developed into an all-female band that consists of Samantha Sanders, Christine Arkley Smith and Dee—Dee is the new identity of Thrussell, who is living as a transgender woman as of the time of the press release. The list of guests on the album include Ash Wednesday, John Justin Stewart (Grace Jones), Felix Kubin, German producer Atom TM and the City of Prague Philharmonic choir.

Black Lung

In 1994 Thrussell released Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars, an album of B-sides from Snog's lengthy Australian CD singles for the German market - the Australian singles were up to 80 minutes, whereas chart-eligible singles in Germany could not be more than 21 minutes, so many tracks were left over.

The album was mostly composed of instrumental tracks taken from Snog's first album Lies Inc. and the Hey, Christian God single. (A year later, the album was also released on Germany's Machinery Records as Silent Weapons for Silent Wars. Thrussell disowned this later release due to the incorrect title, changes made to the artwork, and the fact that the tracks were in the wrong order, destroying the album's continuity.)

Since 1999, nearly all Black Lung releases have been on German industrial label Ant-Zen. In 1999, Thrussell collaborated with John Sellekaers from Xingu Hill to produce the 10" EP The Andronechron Incident, purportedly a soundtrack for an obscure Italian science fiction film. A full-length CD of the same title, containing many more additional tracks, was released in 2002 .
Thematically, Thrussell has used the project as an opportunity to indulge his fascination with conspiracy theories, with many album and track titles referencing conspiracies. Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars, also used by, Killarmy), refers to a document which came to light in the mid 1980s detailing a New World Order plan. Rhic-Edom is a direct reference to the acronym RHIC-EDOM: Radio-Hypnotic Intracerebral Control & Electronic Dissolution of Memory. The albums' liner notes frequently contain essays on various esoteric subjects, excerpted from conspiracy books or written by Thrussell himself.
2014 saw the return of the project with a Vinyl,"The Business Of Selling" release on M-Tronic records as a limited edition of 300 copies.

Politics

Thrussell's songs frequently contain themes of anti-consumerism, individuality and anti-big-brotherism.
The albums Third Mall from the Sun (1999), Relax into the Abyss (2000) and Beyond the Valley of the Proles (2003), The Last Days of Rome (2006) and City (2008) featured artwork by Canadian artist Chris Woods, whose paintings lampoon the advertising tactics of major corporations such as McDonald's, The Gap and Nike.
Snog supports the copying of its music and depending on the recording label, many releases are designated copyleft (or "copyright-free"), as indicated by a crossed-out "©" symbol that is printed on the album case.

Reception

In a 2008 review of The Last Days of Rome, Matthew Rich from Left Hip Magazine described Snog as "the greatest band at the moment".

CREEPSHOW ( CANADIAN PSYCHOBILLY BAND )

Imagem relacionada
The Creepshow is a band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada. The band formed in 2005 when the four original members got together with the purpose of starting a psychobilly band. The Creepshow writes the majority of their songs about horror films.

Former bands

Most of The Creepshow's current and past members have been in various garage bands before. McNab was the singer/guitarist for Outspan and Jersey. McGinty was the songwriter and trombonist for ska band two-face and played trombone in Outspan as well. Matt "Pomade" Gee splits his time between The Creepshow and punk band Rehab for Quitters for which he also plays drums.
The Creepshow is known for their fast-paced songs filled with lots of backup vocals from McNab and McGinty and sing-alongs that the whole crowd can participate in. The band is also known for their live shows.

Labels

After initially recording two songs for the Zombie Night in Canada Vol. 2, Stereo Dymamite founder Adam (DOOM) Sewell signed the band after hearing the band's demo in 2005. The band released their first album Sell Your Soul on Stereo Dynamite shortly after in May 2006.
On Monday, March 27, 2006, Stereo Dynamite signed an exclusive distribution deal with EMI Music Canada, increasing the label and band's distribution.
In August, 2009 Hellcat Records announced they had signed The Creepshow and would be re-releasing their second album Run for Your Life in October. This signing was the first time a Canadian band had been signed to the California-based label. The Creepshow maintained their relationship with Stomp Records in Canada.

Jen "Hellcat" Blackwood's departure

After Hellcat became pregnant, the vocals and guitar duties were taken over by Hellcat's younger sister, Sarah "Sin" on a temporary basis, and then permanently. Hellcat made her final appearance with the band in their video for "The Garden". In the summer of 2007, Hellcat began producing an album with her band Hellcat and the Prowl.

Run For Your Life

On October 27, 2008, the band released their second album, Run for Your Life. The band once again recorded with Sell Your Soul recorder/producer Steve Rizun. The album was released by Stomp Records and was re-released in the US on Hellcat Records in October, 2009.
The band continued to tour with Blackwood as the lead vocalist, including a tour with The Unseen and Tiger Army. In an interview with Exclaim! magazine, Blackwood said that "Downtime has been good, but it's always the same. After about two weeks we all get that itch. And after three weeks our pockets are empty and we're like 'Okay, we need to go back on tour, I am going crazy!"
On August 23, 2008, the band joined Anti Flag on a Canadian Tour after which they made their way back to Europe in October in support of their new album. The Creepshow played the Warped Tour in 2008 on the D-Tox/Union stage in Montreal.
The band toured North America and Europe in early 2009. On August, 2009, the band had two successful gigs in Russia. In September, 2009 the band announced a U.S. tour through October.
On February 26, 2010, the band performed in the Australian alternative festival, Soundwave, on one of two main stages. On July 17, 2010, the band performed at the Hot Rod Hootenanny in Niagara Falls, Ontario. On October 25, the band performed in Prague, Czech Republic at the club Cross. On December 12, 2010, the band played alongside Random Hand, The Skints, The Hydropaths, Acid Drop and Mouthwash for the Slam Dunk punk/ska all dayer at the Cockpit in Leeds, England. Following a tour of Europe, they regrouped to begin material for their fourth album.

Sarah "Sin" Blackwood's departure

In January 2012, Sarah Blackwood guested with fellow Burlington, Ontario, band Walk off the Earth on a cover of Gotye's song Somebody That I Used To Know. The resulting video on YouTube went viral, gathering over 127 million views in four months and received positive responses from both Gotye and his co-singer on the song, Kimbra. On February 2012, the music industry publication Crazed Hits reported that the band had signed a recording contract with Columbia Records.
The Creepshow had announced a tour of Europe and North America for the late summer - including dates in the United Kingdom in August. However, Walk Off The Earth soon announced a tour of their own, and on July 16, Blackwood uploaded a farewell video to her YouTube page, announcing she was leaving The Creepshow. Blackwood went on to join Walk Off The Earth on a permanent basis, starting with their Autumn tour and EP, R.E.V.O.

Kenda "Twisted" Legaspi's arrival

On July 16, 2012, the same day that Sarah Blackwood uploaded her YouTube video, the band released a statement on their Facebook page, announcing her departure and successor in one fell swoop. They said:
Hey there Creeps,
We know there's been a lot of rumours circulating out there lately, so we just wanted to fill you in on what's happening to put the speculation to rest. As you all know, Sarah is involved in a lot of different musical projects including her own solo project and Walk Off The Earth. Unfortunately it's simply not possible for her to devote herself to all of these awesome projects full-time so we were faced with a really difficult decision. We talked it all over together and looked at this from every possible angle, but it's with a heavy heart that we're announcing that Sarah "SIN" Blackwood will be leaving the Creepshow.
After 5+ years, two albums, several singles and countless tours with the band, Sarah will be sorely missed not just as a bandmate but as a great friend. We honestly couldn't be happier for her and we wish her all the very best with her music and new adventures. The Creepshow has always been about playing shows, putting out great songs and having a wicked time with our fans so with that said, the show must go on...
We'd also like to take this opportunity to let y'all know that our good friend Kenda will be stepping up to take over vocal duties. Kenda is a fixture in the Hamilton/Toronto music scene as both an accomplished singer and prolific tattoo artist. Please take a moment to welcome Kenda to the Creepshow family! We're currently working on writing new songs and sharpening up our live show…and we'll be sharing a brand new track with you in the weeks to come! Stay tuned for exciting news, tour announcements and much more!
  • if you have any negative comments, we would appreciate you keeping them to yourself.

Kenda's first dates with The Creepshow were Hamilton on Friday 27 July 2012 and Toronto the following day. The band then played four dates in Germany, before embarking upon a UK tour in August. In September, they played across North America, including some support slots with Dropkick Murphys. In October and November, they performed a headline tour of Canada, with support coming from The Fundamentals and The Hellbound Hepcats. On New Year's Eve, 2012, they supported NOFX in Montreal.

YEHT MAE

Yeht Mae was an electro-industrial band from California which began in 1988 by vocalist and keyboard programmer Jeremy Daw. Daw was later joined by vocalist Lynda Sterling and released two self-distributed cassette demos. Their first CD "1000 Veins" was released by the British gothic/industrial label Gymnastic Records whose albums were pressed in Germany.
In 1992, musician and producer Talla 2XLC of the band Bigod 20 signed the band to his label Zoth Ommog Records where they went on to release two more CD albums.
The band's primary lyrical themes cover strange subjects such as death, experimental surgery, and alien abductions.

GHOULTOWN

Resultado de imagem para GHOULTOWN

Ghoultown is a gothabilly band from Texas, specializing in a mixture of classic Americana and gothic music and dark, horrifying lyrics.
Razorcake Magazine which summed up the music and attitude behind the band as "The true tequila-guzzlin' sounds of Texxxas!". Their unique heavy western sound has brought attention from both fans and press alike. Since their debut in 1999, Ghoultown has released four CDs, as well as several compilations, movies, short films, a comic book and a video game.

Biography

Formed in 1999, by vocalist/guitarist Count Lyle (Solitude Aeturnus, The Killcreeps), Ghoultown recorded its first 3-song EP in October of that same year. Titled Boots of Hell, the EP illustrated the power of the band's Tex-Mex blend while garnering rabid reviews, a fanbase and independent radio airplay. With Boots of Hell in circulation, the band's early buzz landed them several compilation appearances. The most notable being Skully Records' (NY) Gothabilly 2: Rockin' Necropolis where they share the bill with some of the best psychobilly acts around the world. As a kick off, the band was invited to participate in the world-release show held at NY's infamous CBGB's on Halloween 2000.

In early 2001, Ghoultown released their full-length debut Tales from the Dead West. The album, produced by Kol Marshall (Mercyful Fate, etc.), captured the versatility and unique sound of the Texan quintet from the powerful "Killer in Texas" to the Doors-esque "Running From the Sun." "This album already has a place on my best of 2001 list," quoted a Harder Beat reviewer who reflected the positive response. Not only were ears turned, but eyes as well as the release pushed the band into new live show territory. With highlight performances such as an Atlanta benefit, which featured Jerry Only of the legendary Misfits as an onstage guest, Ghoultown has played with an amazing variety of bands such as Hank III, Rocket from the Crypt, The Independents, DRI, Bile, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Flametrick Subs, Dick Dale, Road Kings, Men of Porn, Captured By Robots, Fear, Cruxshadows, and The Misfits.
By 2002, four of the band's songs were chosen for the soundtrack of the horror-slasher American Nightmare, starring B-movie queen Debbie Rochon (Tromeo and Juliet). The movie script was subsequently altered to include a Ghoultown performance cameo after the director witnessed the band live, and the video for their track "Killer In Texas" was included as a bonus on the DVD.
In the spring of 2002, the band released their follow-up Give 'Em More Rope, and Angry Planet Records signed an exclusive licensing deal with Netherlands-based Corazong Records to release the Ghoultown U.S. catalog in Europe and Canada. The first Euro-Canadian release was a special version of Tales from the Dead West, which included tracks from their Boots of Hell EP as well.
In the late summer, Ghoultown did a 35 date U.S. tour which included performances at NY's CBGBs to The Garage in L.A. The tour was concluded by a performance at one of the world's largest annual entertainment media conventions, Dragon*Con in Atlanta, where the band has performed for the last two years by popular demand.
Hitting 2003, Ghoultown's signature tune "Killer In Texas" made yet another appearance in a short film called Headcheese which was released on DVD with a movie called Freak. Appropriately, Headcheese was filmed in the same location as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre... house and all! Spending the first half of 2003 performing, the band toured the midwest and east coast, in addition to numerous Texas area shows. By the end of spring, Ghoultown completed work on songs for two upcoming Jon Keeyes films, Slice of Life and Hallow's End, the later in which they will also be making a cameo appearance. These are due on the market around Halloween.

In 2004, Ghoultown released a double disc set, Live From Texas!, which showcased their powerful live show on both CD and DVD. "Ghoultown puts the grit back into rock 'n' roll with a blazing hellfire vengeance!" said Horror Garage in praise of the release, which has garnered extremely positive feedback and become the best selling release to date. Also in 2004, the band managed to creep into the video game market where several of their actual gig posters can be seen in the award-winning Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines PC game.
October 2006 saw the release of the full-length Ghoultown album, Bury Them Deep, with a cover painted by illustrator Dan Brereton, creator of Nocturnals.
In 2008, Ghoultown had two releases: Skeleton Cowboys, a limited edition hand-numbered 7" vinyl single; and Life After Sundown, a full-length studio album (also featuring cover art by Dan Brereton).
New album entitled Ghost of the Southern Son has been released on March 15, 2017.

CROCODILE SHOP

Crocodile Shop (later simply Croc Shop) is an electro-industrial aggrotech EBM band formed in Berlin, Germany in 1987 by Mick Hale and R. A. Werner.

Background

Crocodile Shop was born after Hale and Werner disintegrated their previous new wave project, "Mod Fun". They became inspired by the "darker" post-punk sounds of Joy Division, New Order, Wire, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry and The Jesus and Mary Chain. According to the band's official website, the name "Crocodile Shop" was just something the group entitled a demo tape as a reminder of its contents, and the name stuck.

Originally a three-piece band (guitar, bass and drums) with drummer John Figlar of Lord John fame, the group's first release was the 1987 EP entitled "Head" which saw limited distribution on the Minneapolis-based Susstones Records. At the time, the group had a strong indie rock sound which they later came to dislike and called "Head" their version of Ministry's "With Sympathy" which was an overall embarrassment to the band. The following full-length album "Lullaby", produced by Chameleons UK's Dave Fielding, developed their sound further towards gothic and included more dark guitar work. Eventually, the band would slowly abandon the "guitar goth" sound, first replacing their drummer with a drum machine, and finally with the addition of keyboard player V. Markus, (who was influenced by the likes of Front 242, Laibach and Nitzer Ebb), they turned to an entirely electronic-based outfit. The band followed up with their developing electronic sound by releasing two more vinyl EPs, the Red Lorry Yellow Lorry influenced "Measure By Measure" and "Technological Optimism".

Crocodile Shop's commercial debut finally came in 1993 with the release of the album "Celebrate the Enemy" on Tinman Records. The album, produced by Chris Randall of Wax Trax! Records and Sister Machine Gun, was a clean blend of the latest electro-sounds and mixed elements of trance, break-beat, and EBM.

An Alternative Press review described the work as "a hard and harsh blend of high energy rock with the melodic aspects of electro and the high angst of industrialism." The album was followed up by the remix EP "Crush Your Enemies" which was also praised on the dance floor.
In 1995, Crocodile Shop signed to Metropolis Records and continued to expand their repertoire releasing the full-length albums "Beneath" in 1996 and "Pain" in 1997. The remix EPs "Metalwerks" and "Soviet" also followed the studio albums. Also released was "Live Action", a 777-copy limited edition live performance recorded in Germany and distributed on SubMission/SPV label.
As the band's popularity in the electro-underground grew, Mick Hale began working on other side projects releasing two electro-dub albums under the name Division #9, and teaming up with V. Markus as progGREX.iv. The band had also gone on to produce remixes for such artists as Collide, Battery, and Android Lust.

After extensive tours over the next few years, in 1999, the band recruited new member Len9 and changed their musical direction once again. With Len9's influences and taking advantage of the newest and more affordable synthesizer technology that was out there, the door opened for new possibilities in their sound. They released "Everything is Dead and Gone" which was followed in 2000 by "Order + Joy". (The album's title is a play off two of the group's original influences: New Order and Joy Division). Belgium's SIDE-LINE magazine called "Order + Joy" Crocodile Shop's "best album ever", hailing it as a return to their earlier and gritter EBM sound. "Order + Joy" was followed by the remix EP "Wrong" which was released on CD and distributed exclusively through the internet and thus was the first time for the band to issue their music online and reach a wider audience.
In 2002, now under the shortened name Croc Shop, the band released "World" which, while continuing much of the gritty EBM sound of "Order + Joy", represented another shift in the music style to a cleaner Synth Pop vibe. While the band embarked on another tour they released a remix EP for "World" called "Translated", and again, it saw exclusive distribution over the internet. The band has since released the 2 cd best of called "CS_Sea: Self Extracting Archive" with 37 tracks covering all the releases, it continues to sell well on cdBaby.com.
Today, the band continues to tour, and has shared the stage with such acts as Nitzer Ebb, Front 242, Project Pitchfork, Switchblade Symphony and Rammstein.

MEZIRE ( INTERVIEW )

( Mezire is an extreme Dark Electro band formed by Frank and Dirk Mezire in 1995, Berlin, Germany.( Dirk Mezire is out of the band one year ago. )

Frank Mezire is a honor for me to make this great interview about you and your projects. I would like to know when did you start to make music?

I feel very honored too. :)
Well, I got an organ when I was 12 from my parents, but after about one year I hated it. :)...when I was 18 or 19 I started experimenting  with tapes ( recording tape to tape to tape... ) and programing some rythms stuffs on an very simple sequencer program on an old Comodore Amiga and finally - after I met my bandmate Dirk - I bought my first synthesizer / workstation. That also was the birth of Mezire!!! That was 1995 when I was 23 years old.

So now we would like to know about your albums... and wich album did you like to make it?

Of course allbums were fun to create, but I think it was " Corrosion Effects "wich I like most to record:

- All the early ones, because it was new to work with real instruments, work with a partner, discuss ideas and etc...

-" Reanimate " was done while I already were very much into noise music and I had "calm down"very often, because I wanted it to fit the sytle to the older releases. When you listen to it, you´ll recognize it did not work out all the time...

- with " Corrosion Effects "everything worked fine, I decided to do change the sound into Power Electronics/Noise. But at the end I think there were still some influences of the older style in it. It was very exciting to experiment with more distorted, agressive sounds. I started working without sequencer, instead I recorded everything track by track and modulated them afterwards in some way(s). Even 2 songs were recorded completly live ( Waiting & Insticts )

- " Aftermaths " was very hard to do. My son was about 4 or 5 years old in that time and of course I had most attention on him. Then there was a hard disc crash crash without backup and I had to start again ( I think 4 tracks we lost ). Anyway, the change into noisy style was finished and that was very satisfying for me.

The coming album will be very exciting for me to do, because Dirk left the band a year ago ( nevetheless we´re still  good friends ) and I´m alone with all decisions and etc...

Frank, your project is really intense, dark and distorted. Nowadays  hardly we find a project like yours...What are some of the major influences on Mezire?

The first years it was bands like SUICIDE COMANDO, PUTREFY FACTOR 7,THE KLINIK,LAIBACH,SKINNY PUPPY...
When I distorted noise, it was and is FOLKSTORM,SLOGUN,STEEL HOOK PROTHESES,EX.ORDER,MZ 412...

Do you plans to play in some festivals, gigs or some tours in other countries or maybe in other continents?

A few years ago I decided not to do any more concerts. MAIN reason is my family, but also that gear I used on stage is broken or at least not working very safe. Of course I could exchange them, but I decided to buy more new gear to improve my idea how Mezire has to sound like. But never say never. :)

When will you release a new album? You told it above, but we would like some details that you didn´t tell us...

I hope to have a new album ready at the end of next year. First tracks are more or less finished. Again very dark, noisy and agressive. I used very much field recording this time, something I haven´t done before.
But I´m a lazy musician...meeting with friends and hagging out with my family is so much fun ;)

DECADENCE: In my opinion you are right Frank, because our life is too short and we need to enjoy each moment with our friends and family. When you are ready to do it, will be great for you, because you will be more relaxed and it will be a pleasure for you. WOW, how you told, I think that new album will be amazing like the olders albums. When you finish it, tell me please, will be a honor again for me to show it on Decadence indeed.

This is a question that I like to ask: What your point of view about EBM nowadays? and what your opinion about new bands. Are there creativity and innovation?

Since everybody owns a computer, also everybody is able to make music. Of course this leads only to quantity in most cases... but I think if you like what you are doing, it´s ok! No one is born a master! And even if you are a master, you must be sure about the fact, that you can NOT convince everyone with your music.
As long there are new projects with some quality out put like NORDARR, BLISTER EXISTS, YOUTH CODE etc... there´s nothing to worry or complain about!
Talking about innovation in EBM, or in any other music genre, this always end ups with new genres the "normal" problably doesn´t like. For example that future pop thing... when it come up it was new, creative and sometimes innovative and I hated it from the beginning *haha*

DECADENCE: I agree with you Frank, nowadays anyone can make music in your home computer, however if it will be nice or not it depends on how will be your creativity. And you are right ( And even if you are a master, you must be sure about the fact, that you can NOT convince everyone with your music.) I need to be honest too, the beginning of Future Pop I hated it too. LOL.

What do you know about South America EBM scene? Are there good bands in your opinion? And tell us some of them that you know...

Unfortunately I know only a few EBM bands from South America. The ones I know are very good! Especially MORGUE MECHANISM for example.

DECADENCE: MORGUE or MORGUE MECHANISM was a very nice 90´s Dark Electro band from Brazil. Nowadays Gil O. Santos ex member of Morgue created another nice project ( AMORPHOUS )

This question can sound funny, however I did this same question in another  interview with a German band also, however is very interesting to know what do you know about Brazil? Please, without mulatas, football and carnival. hahahahahahahaha...

That´s a really good and interesting question, altought it´s a bit embarrassing  for me. To be honest , I don´t know very much about Brazil. I had 2 very good friends in school who grew up in São Paulo. Their parents were teachers there for 10 years. But still no real knowledge about your country, except offcial language is Portuguese, your Capital is Brazilia and the amazon river and rainforest.
In the newspapers and on TV you get the impression that Brazil is a very poor country, with lots crime and violence in evrywhere... except in Rio de Janeiro, wich seems to be a paradise, because you only see pictures of a sunny beach and handsome people from that city.
Of course I don´t trust in this too much.

DECADENCE: There are many stereotypes that media like to show about Brazil, Brazil is a good country, very rich country, however the corruption is a cancer, politicians are like vampire, they like to suck our money, dignity and hope. The violence is concentrated and big cities like Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo for example. In my city there is violence, but it is very small. Media like to show handsome people enjoying the sun and drinking cocktails on the beach in Rio de Janeiro. You are right, we don´t need to trust in media.

I know that you in this moment don´t have interest to make concerts, but if appear an opportunity to travel... would you like to play here in Brazil or in another country here in South America?

If I would turn back to stage , I would love to play there of course. Getting to know other countries and nice EBM or noise people is great.

DECADENCE: You will be welcome here Frank.

Here in Brazil there are some people that like your projects. What do you really think about it? Did you know it?

Of course I feel very honored! I already had some contact with some people from South America ( Chile, Argentina... does Mexico count, too? )
But what´s the best about it: There are still people crazy enough to spend their spare time searching for unknow bands, listening to their music and keeping the scene(s) alive!!!

DECADENCE: Mexico is part of the North America and Central America Frank. However all countries that speak a latin tongue we like to say that we are Latin America.

Familientreffen is a very famous festival here in Brazil as WGT and Mera Luna too. Many people here like watch these festivals on youtube... tell us about these festivals and wich of them did you play?

I only played in Familientreffen with MEZIRE. At WGT I only was guest on stage with my good friend T.A.N.K., wich was an amazing feeling, because the stage was so big like the whole clubs we usually play in :-D
Talking about being a visitor all the mentionated festivals are great! Mera luna is a bit too commercial too me. Almost only well know acts there, no real surprises. But at the end they have the biggest names there...
I think WGT is the most amazing festival of all: Mostly small clubs, new projects as well as the famous ones. There is something for every music lover. From Goth, EBM, Noise, (Neo) Folk, classical music and... and... and...
Well and then there´s Familientreffen: My favorite festival of all. I met the boys and girls of Electric Tremor a few years before they started their concerts in Dessau. My wife is from that "clique", Goldi (the main organizer of it all) and I shared an appartament for a year. So Familientreffen really is the place where I really meet my family and best friends. And every year I get to know so many new great people...oh I forgot...there´s music too :-D

DECADENCE: I lived in Germany in 2010 and I have been in FT too, was a nice experience for me, I knew many good people there and I have plans to visit there again... I don´t know when yet...but I have plans.

Do you like other styles of music without EBM?
