C.A.P. ( CONTROLLED ANALOGUE PROGRAMMING )

"C.A.P. ( Controlled Analogue Programming ) started in 1996 as a solo project by Leif Holm (founder of Pouppée Fabrikk) and turned into a duo in 1999 when Christiaan Riemslag joined. In 2001 C.A.P. were signed to the German record label Life Is Painful Records (home for acts like Dupont and Restricted Area) and will release their first full length album now in 2002.

As for the sound, its best described as minimalistic, oldschool EBM. Its made up of few elements — hard rythms, analogue basslines and sparse vocals. Since Leif also is involved in Pouppиe Fabrikk the C.A.P. material is doomed to be held in comparison with the more well known works of PF. If comparison is to be made one could say that C.A.P.s sound lays closest to PFs first releases (Rage, Summoning, etc) with some clear influences from the early works of acts like D.A.F. and Nitzer Ebb."
