OLHO SECO ( BRAZILIAN PUNK/HC BAND )

Brazilian hardcore/punk band from Sao Paulo city formed in 1980.

History :

The band was formed in 1980 when Fábio Sampaio was in an essay on Cólera at Casa Verde, where another band also rehearsed in the same garage. 

This band called OSSO OCO had Sartana as drummer. By the end of the test Fábio asks the drummer that he had a more direct way of playing if he could make a rhythm for a lirycs he had written. Soon after Val Pinheiro and Redson Pozzi come together assuming the bass and the guitar. The idea was to record an EP and then finish the band because Fábio Sampaio thought it was bad for members to play in more than one band at the same time.

In 1982  Grito Suburbano, the first collection of Brazilian punk bands and of the festival O começo do fim do mundo, both marks of the beginning of the punk movement in Brazil.
